the Goodwich

VEGAS. What does that make you think of?
Clubs, casinos, buffets, Fat Tuesdays, Earl’s, etc… am I right?

I honestly don’t think the buffets are worth it at Vegas, except Studio B. And the only thing good from Earl’s is their chipotle chicken avocado sandwich, but it’s given me tummy aches and indigestion all three times I’ve had it (from their bread or just something they use in their sandwich sad face). Fat Tuesdays are a yes though, especially the peach bellini hehe.

But I digress. Did you know some of the best food you can find in Vegas is located off the strip (like Studio B and Tacos El Gordo)? Correction: MOST of the best food is off the strip.

Next time you find yourself in Vegas, tell Earl’s to move aside because there’s a muuuch better sandwich place a short drive away. Just head downtown towards the Goodwich – a shack that’s located in a parking lot across a strip club!

Chicken Sandwich w/ Provolone, Spring Greens, Bacon, Tomato, and Ginger

Don’t be fooled by its location and appearance because not only do they have superb service, but they also have a creative sandwich menu that they execute flawlessly. (more…)

Macaron ice cream sandwiches sound good and all, but this place is wayyy over-hyped. I was pretty disappointed in this place, especially since they’ve received a lot of attention in the press.

Left: Red Velvet
Right: Thai Tea

Yes, the sandwiches are pretty and picture-perfect for Instagram, and yes, they are made in a way that make them easy to eat (no mess!). BUT you’ll feel a toothache and/or headache coming on the moment you bite into it – not because of how cold it is, but because of how sweet it is! Even my friends who can tolerate much sweeter things than I can agreed. If you have a super strong sweet tooth, then you’ll like this place for sure!!

Apparently their blue velvet cake and ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookies are good too though, so I’ll probably give those a try if I find myself here again. Looks like we’ll have to wait and see if Milk can redeem itself in my book!

Top: Dungeness Crab Benedict
Bottom: Dungeness Crab Sandwich

Yup, we were both in a mood for some crab that day haha. This place is good, but not amazing nor worth the wait. We waited about 1.5 hrs and the majority of that time was outside in the hot sun 😦

Egg in a Basket Sandwich

First of all, I want to thank everyone who has visited my blog so far. Thank you for all your support and for taking the time to read my posts. To be honest, I didn’t expect my blog to receive much attention at all, but the unexpected compliments I have received online and in person have been really heartwarming and motivating. I really appreciate it ❤ For those of you who have started to follow me, the fact that you want to keep up with my blog even though it is in its baby stage and has barely started, is especially encouraging. I’ve been busy with finals the past few days, but I’ll be done with summer school tomorrow so expect a lot more posts soon!

Be prepared for your hands to get a little messy as you eat depending on how runny your yolk is! I liked mine just the way it turned out in the picture hehe. (more…)
